POPULATION SERVED: Latinx, creatives, spiritual seekers

I am a Chicana, an artist, a creative soul, and a wounded healer. For the last 20 years I have been working with mentors, healers, and teachers to overcome my own trauma, deepen my spiritual practice, and study meditation and neuroscience. In 2014 I began to learn about the ancient healing practice of Curanderismo (traditional Mexican spiritual healing). My creative, spiritual, and academic paths have converged to support the reclamation of my family’s healing lineage. I use an approach to healing that pulls knowledge from holistic healing and contemporary psychology to reclaim ancient wisdom in new ways. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board Certified Art Therapist, and have training in Latino family therapy, transpersonal therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and breath work.

  • Meghan Meyer

    LCSW-C

    POPULATION SERVED: Adults

I offer individual mental health therapy to adults of all ages using a Telehealth platform.

I am a certified holistic therapist and certified trauma informed practitioner. I specialize in holistic therapy-looking at not only the body and the mind, but the spirit as well. I address mental health through a holistic lense using evidence-based alternative methods to heal.

Along with processing, a session with me could include individualized gentle yoga, sound healing with the use of sound bowls, and teaching and practicing mindfulness and meditation. I am a certified mindfulness practitioner, sound healer, and reiki master.

Life transitions at any age can be hard and present mental illness and symptoms you may never have experienced. Life transitions I specialize in include adjusting to and navigating chronic illness, aging, onset of and commitment to working through anxiety and/or depression. I encourage and assist in the exploration of what is called “the dark night of the soul” in the spiritual world. Leaning into hard times and learning to flow with what comes can make a person more resilient and be less negatively effected by life’s sudden changes.

I am creative and open-minded and love thinking outside of the box. I can help you look at life through a different lense- looking for different perspectives and retraining your brain to decrease anxiety and depression and increase positivity. I explore ways of communication that will help you improve not only your relationships with others but also your relationship with yourself through more compassionate self-talk.

    EXPERIENCE

I have a Certificate in Gerontology and extensive experience working with older adults. I have experience in assisting older adults transition to new stages of life, whether that be a new place to call home, age bracket, or recent mental health/cognitive changes. I have worked in disaster relief and assisted homeowners transition back to their homes after years of displacement. I am a 500 hour registered yoga teacher and have been teaching therapeutic styles of yoga to aid in rest, relaxation, and moving from the sympathetic to the parasympathetic nervous system, of which I bring into therapy.

  • Annelle Taylor

    WHNP, ANP

POPULATION SERVED: All people with any history of a uterus and Adults + Folx working in healthcare affected by burnout, stress, and systemic oppression.

ANNELLE TAYLOR (MSN, NP-C, WHNP-BC) (She/her) is originally from Mississippi and currently lives in NYC. She completed the MSN program in Women’s Health and Adult Primary Care at the Yale School of Nursing in 2010. She works as an NP at the Bronx Health Collective at Montefiore Medical Center (BHC) where she’s been joyfully working with her phenomenal co-workers and the good folks of the South Bronx for over a decade.

A cancer diagnosis in 2018 led Annelle to realize that in order to truly heal, she would need to engage in methods and actions to dissolve and resolve her own internalized paradigms—namely white supremacy—via the language and actions of trauma-informed collective liberation based in anti-racism ideology. She believes that we are not well until we are all well and we cannot heal or ever fully dismantle our own internal systems of oppression and those that divide us systemically until we name the way we are implicit in said systems of oppression and start really listening to each other in brave spaces. She believes that sharing and actively hearing the stories of our lived experiences is how we will realize our love for each other. This is not a love simply manifest. This love requires that righteous rage and all the emotions be welcome, held, and honored. This love requires white folks to lean into discomfort and step back from the center of collective spaces—to show up and be willing to be called in.

The Healing Circle for Healthcare Workers was imagined in conversations (and lots of listening) with her co-collaborators, the amazing and magnificent Nurse Sara Voltaire, Mr. Robert Jackson, and Dr. Ricky Qadeer, who helped originate this space and idea. The deep dive program she’s currently creating called Medicine Womxn was alchemized from the deep medicinal teachings and understandings she’s been honored to receive since childhood and will be a program for anyone who identifies as Womxn working in healthcare to heal, resolve, and release burnout.

Hi! My name is Tiana and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina, a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor and a Mental Health Advocate. As a Holistic Therapist who specializes in trauma, I strongly believe our mental health is not something to shy away from as it is something we all experience. I can admit this isn't always easy. I believe we should all have the opportunity to tell our story and embrace who we are. Through this, we can take steps towards growth and healing. In my practice, I believe Holistic Mental Heath gives the client the opportunity to address their trauma and mental health from a full body perspective. The body keeps the score. What we feel and experience also resides in our body.
